Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 July 2026. Get Momentum ("we", "us") complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

  • Signup: first name, email or phone, optional ward, POPIA consent, 18+ confirmation.
  • Sharing: taps by channel (WhatsApp, X, Facebook, etc.) — no message content.
  • Visitors to your link: hashed IP, hashed user-agent, coarse geography. Never their identity.
  • We do not collect ID numbers.

How we use it

  • Award points fairly, detect fraud, produce leaderboards.
  • Send service messages (only if you gave marketing consent will you get platform-level updates).

Retention

Raw IPs are never stored longer than 30 days. Hashed identifiers may be retained longer for fraud analysis. Points ledger is retained for the duration of the campaign.
